Photoshop batch processing error: ...destination folder not available

Hy, I use Photoshop 7 and have created an action that opens files, resize them an save them for web. My problem is in batch processsing, I choosed a folder with my files and choosed a desination folder. When I'm running the batch I receive an error message: "the batch could not be processed because the destination folder is not available" -- but it is available!!!

What can I do, I've tested it with some other folders, but always the samme erroro message!

The following is the general process by which I batch, and avoids those issues altogether.

A couple of points first - don't try to open files with your action. You can use the batch dialog to take control of the source and destination. Make sure your action includes a Save As command - recording it will hard code the path and the filename, but when we use the Batch dialog, we can by-pass the specifics of the Save As action.

Here's what I generally do:

Create an action that Edits and does a Save As. In the Save As portion of the action, toggle the dialog to OFF - that's the little square next to the action name. This is an important step.

Next File|Automate|Batch.

Action to Run: Edit and Save

Source: Open Files, Folder, or Browser (if you choose Browser, the actions will be performed upon the files you have selected in Photoshops File Browser)

Destination: Folder
Choose: (pick your desired destination folder)
Important: Check the box that says "Override Save As Information"

Optionally choose a naming convention and hit Go. Each image in the Source will automatically open (unless you chose "Open Files"), have your actions performed on them, and will save according to the format and options specified in your Save As portion of the action, then close, one by one.
